When Samsung takes inspiration from Apple and Nothing… We are already talking about the new Galaxy Buds 3 even before their official release.
Samsung is preparing to unveil its new Galaxy Buds 3, and the least we can say is that they don’t go unnoticed. With a design that flirts dangerously with that of the AirPods, is the Korean giant taking risks or protecting its back?
Abandoning the compact and discreet look of previous models, Samsung opts for a radically different approach with its Galaxy Buds 3. The renderings leaked by leaker Onleaks show headphones with stems, which are furiously reminiscent of Apple’s AirPods. A choice that will surely make fans of the brand react.
But Samsung didn’t just copy and paste Apple’s design. The stems of the Galaxy Buds 3 appear more square, with a distinctive triangular tip. A detail that could be Samsung’s personal touch to stand out from the competition.
The case is exposed
If the headphones do the talking, the case is not left out. Still elliptical in shape, it expands and adopts a transparent cover, this time reminiscent of the Nothing Ear. A trend towards transparency that seems to be taking over the wireless earphone sector.
This new design isn’t just aesthetic. The case incorporates LEDs for each earbud, as well as a central indicator. A practical feature that allows you to know at a glance the state of charge of each component.
Pro vs Standard: what differences are expected?
Samsung is expected to offer two versions of its new headphones: Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro. Even though the design looks identical, we can expect additional features in the Pro version to justify its higher price. The active noise reduction, already present on previous models, should be improved. The standard Buds 3 could make do with passive isolation, thus maintaining a more accessible price positioning. A strategy comparable to that of Apple.
This leak comes a few weeks before the Samsung Unpacked event, scheduled for July 10th. The Galaxy Buds 3 will not be the only protagonists of Unpacked 2024. Samsung should also lift the veil on its new foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold6 et Z flip 6. Without forgetting the mysterious Galaxy Ring, which could be the surprise of the event. And finally, the Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch Ultra.
